This steel is very difficult to mechanical work in a supersaturated state. The improvement of workability can be obtained
by the use of long term annealing at the temperature of 550 - 580 o C.
Hadfield steel is used in the manufacture of parts for machines and devices which require a very high abrasion resistance
with strokes causing a so-called cold deformation: jaws crushers, pins and bushings for track chains,
balls and plates to the mills, bars etc.
In the 110G12, X120Mn12 (1.3401) grades we provide plate round bars, forgings, square and flat sheets.
